This stunning antique roll top desk is tambour fronted and has its original locking plate which reads Feige Desk Co, Saginaw, Mich, USA. It is very rare to find good American pieces of antique furniture, especially in such good condition. This stunning antique desk has a rectangular moulded top above a tambour front which when open releases the original locking mechanism to release the drawers, so they open. The interior of the desk has several pigeon holes, letter racks, unusual pen holders and small working drawers. The lower section of the antique desk has a rectangular moulded top with canted corners above a large kneehole so you can comfortably get your knees under and each of the pedestals has a pull out writing slide above drawers. The antique desk stands on a plain plinth , splits into several sections for ease of removals, has panelled sides and back and the back has been finished allowing the piece to be displayed anywhere in a room.
